Postby bobberdown123 » Sun May 08, 2011 5:23 pm

Gearing up for some tributary springer fishing and want to throw some rod holders on the boat for pluggin/diver and bait. Read a lot about folbes lately but mainly from people puttin em on sleds. Are these the best for db's too? Open to any and all suggestions

I've always used Fish On's on my driftboats and haven't had any problems with them. Haven't seen Folbes on a driftboat yet, but the sled guys sure rave about them.

Exactly what Robbo said. I have tried the Folbes and if you don't pull them straight up out of the holder, they seem to lock up on you at times. Maybe I'm just not used to it but a friend of mine had them and we got a very good plug take down but the holder wouldn't open. A little frusterating you could say.
