Evinrude's New Generation 2 Outboards!

Postby Nelly » Sun Jun 15, 2014 7:54 am

Evinrude has just thrown the design gauntlet down with their revolutionary new E-TEC G-2 engines!

Radical new design, more fuel efficient, more towing power and more stable RPM's in heavy seas!

In addition, you can choose your own color scheme to match your boat! Check it out at :

WOW! I have had my 130 E-Tec for the last three years and its awesome!
Great power, Great fuel efficiency. http://youtu.be/Cz1nQjg0MAo

I don't know if they are going to continue to make the 130, but it is perfect for the 18ft range boat.

When I upgrade in couple of year I'm definitely staying with Evinrude.

2 years ago I repowered my Duckworth with a new 150 E-Tec. After having 2 fuel injectors die on me in the first 60 hours and never able to get it to run without a stumble, the boat was sold. Never again.

Many happy E-Tec owners but I would have been better off sticking with my 115 Yammie.

Sorry to hear of your experience W,
All I can tell you is that I've been runnin Evinrude E-Tec since they came out over a decade ago.
The freedom from changing oil, reduced overall maintenance and the pride of running an excellent American Made product has kept me happy and trouble-free on the water.
Every outboard manufacturer has its issues, in fact, I turned to Evinrude when I had several bad experiences with the brand you mentioned.
One thing is for sure, I can't wait to see the E-TEC Generation 2's on the water! cheers

We're having Evinrude Pro Eric Olson on the show this Saturday and as luck would have it I asked him that same question.

For now the 15HO will be the smallest offering in the E-TEC line

After several years of running the 15HO I can tell you first hand that I have not had a single issue with it and the 15 amp alternator keeps my electrical system humming! cheers
