Blacktail Rut has Started

I was out in the brush today around the Hood Canal and found quite a few fresh blacktail rubs. From buddies that have been in the field all week it sounds like they started getting fired up mid week. I jumped two bucks today, including one that was 20 feet away on the backside of a cut. Just caught the tip of his antlers before he burned rubber

Just a matter of timing now and actually catching a nice buck out in the open

A buck thrashed this scotch broom. I don't see rubs on scotch broom too often
