BLACK FRIDAY
Holiday Sports and Skagit Arms will both be closed on Thanksgiving Day. We will both open on Friday morning at 7AM. Holiday Sports will be giving a free pair of Browning socks to the first 50 individuals that come through the door. Also, a $10.00 gift certificate will be given away for each $100 spent. We will have sales of 20% off the following: Carhartt, all camo, Columbia, tackle boxes, and all crab & shrimp gear. Skagit Arms will have a variety of sales going on as well including some ammo sales, 10% off all over/under shotguns, 20% off all decoys, 10% off Beretta Xtrema IIs & Urikas, and 10% off all Sig Sauer.

FRESHWATER
The Skagit River is in pretty poor shape at the moment. Before the high water there were numerous reports of decent silver fishing along with quite a few chums which must be released. There are still a few bright silvers around. One fisherman fishing around Highway 9 said he and his friends boated seven nice silvers fishing spinners last week. Another fisherman noted that he was able to land multiple silvers and a couple of chums in Concrete and three of the silvers were nice chunky 9-12 pounders and still bright. He was fishing marabou jigs.

Before the high water, a customer remarked that he has been fishing in the Samish and has been hooking good numbers of both silvers and chums. Samish is only open for salmon through the end of November so if it comes back into shape before then, it would be a good bet.

SALTWATER
Marine Area 7 is now closed for salmon but will reopen on December 1. We have Resurrection Derby tickets available here at the store (December 1-3). This Derby was a huge success last year. It is $400 per boat.

A customer noted that he has been able to hook a couple of hatchery steelhead off Whidbey Island beaches over the past week. He has been fishing off Bush and Lagoon Points.
