MA/10

My skiff targeted chinook all weekend and ended up with no keeper king salmon, (West Pt./ Shilshole area). It was a humpy show for us and for most other boats that we could see. There are some nice kings coming in still and we will continue to focus on chinook until the closer. I hear of the coho catch picking up and look forward to the continued slaughter of pinks... I like catching big kings but these pinks are FUN! We are getting them on all kinds of hardware and all depths. Good luck! Garret

It's going to be hit and miss for chinook the rest of the season but the pinks will take up the slack until the coho get here!

I was at West point Saturday as well! The fishing was very good for pinks. For the most part we targeted kings. At 6am we were trolling with the incoming tide and hooked our first king (10 lbs) just north of the green can. This fish came on a green spaterback hootchie w/120' of downrigger cable out. The second king came in almost the exact same spot with the exact same gear about 45 minutes later. This fish wound up being 18lbs.

We hooked 20+ pinks on the classic HUMPY SPECIAL. A great day on the Puget Sound.
