Opening Day Trout

Sorry for the delayed report; I've been both busy and sick.

Took the kids out to Cottage lake to fish off the dock on opening day. We managed to come home with about 15 trout among the 5 of us. Of course I spent most of my time rigging up lines, utangling messes but it was a nice day on the lake.

We took a friend of my 12year-old- son and it was the friend's first time fishing. He outfished us all catching his limit and moving on to ours:)

It wasn't a good day for me: the spool on my nice spinning rod developed a crack and while troubple shooting the issue I took my rod tip off and inadvertantly kicked it in the lake:). I'll go back after it once the water warms up but in the meantime its a nice excuse for a new rod:)
