Sitka salmon report: Harm's Way Veteran's Outing!

From L&M Charters in Sitka, Alaska
It was the most awesome weather and fishing we have ever had for our first group of Veterans. The first day out we had 6 boats and crew plus the 20 Vets fishing and they came in with 56 king salmon at the end of the day!
The 2nd day was sunny and flat water. Some boats went for halibut and some for kings, they returned with lots of nice big halibut, several over 100 lbs and 40 more king salmon. The 3rd day was even nicer! We all went striaght out to the cape and most of us limited on kings and halibut.
They all got to see LOTS of whales every day. They all went home today with 2 boxes of fish each. ( approx 70 lbs each )
The 2nd wave of 20 is set to arrive tomorrow at 1pm on the private jets from Sun Quest air. We hope mother nature will shine on that group also. They ALL wanted us to tell you THANK YOU from them and to let you know what a healing time that this is for them. They made us promise to let you all know how much it means to them to know that people really do care and that they are NOT just yesterdays news. ---L&M

That's awesome, my buddy Mike who was a purple heart recipient was in that group and nobody deserves it more than those vets that have laid it on the line and sacrificed for us.
