Lake Washington Cutts

Postby Salmonhawk » Sun Apr 24, 2011 9:06 am

Sonya and I took advantage of the great weather yesterday and hit the lake for some afternoon fishing. We tried some "strolling" for bass with no luck so I decided to switch over to some cutthroat fishing. I had my usual lake troll with a wedding ring worm combo and I left the Sebile coolie minnow stick bait on Sonya's rod. I had her set at 10 ft on the downrigger and she came away with this nice cuttie. This fish was caught just south of MI, we hit a few other areas as well and saw plenty of jumping fish but no other takers.

Exciting fish to catch! It practically jumped its way all the way back to the boat.

Could trolling for cutts be possible from a Kayak. I've been waiting and wanting to give it a try on the N. end of Lake WA. At least it would be fun to try and a nice day on the water

You could definitely troll for cutts from a kayak. My boys have downriggers and rod holders on their kayaks.
