10 Year Old...2nd Cast...Fish On!

I had the pleasure of taking outdoor writer Jason Brooks and his ten year old son Ryan out for steelhead this morning. We opted for a little slower river in exchange for less people and were justly rewarded. Ryan worked the kinks out on his first cast of the morning and then dropped a dime on his second cast...pitching his yarnie tipped with some of Jason's Pro Cured eggs right into the slot. Within seconds his rod started thumping and this ten pound blinger shot out of the water. It was hardly even light and he had a chromer ripping around the boat. Fish on kiddo thumb up

We hooked and lost a couple more and called it a day at lunch time. Mission accomplished. Great morning with some really nice people
