BUOY 10

Postby Duckhunter » Sat Aug 02, 2014 6:40 am

My buddies and I went down to the Columbia for a day trip on Friday the 1st opening day. We fished above the bridge first thing in the morning on the Washington side. The action started slow but about 7 am we had a take down, after a 10 minute fight we managed to pull up an unclipped 28 lber. Also had a 20 lber at the boat about 20 min later but it spit the hooks just before we could net it. Then action died all around didn't see a net for the next 5 hours.

Like always used Brine and bite died a color and used a Krippled anchovy helmet that I fill with bloody tuna anise and then stuff a green label whole herring in. This setup was the only setup that got bites on the boat.

I have a hard time explaining to folks just how effective Pro-Cure Brine & Bite is.
Basically, there are a bunch of herring brines on the market and I've used 'em all but none of them put the shine and toughness on a tray of herring like Brine & Bite.
You can guess when I get down to Buoy 10 what my bait will be curing in rockon

Brine and bite is easy I just get a few tubs of it at the beginning of the year and then I can add to it to change color or any scents I want. It seems different colors do better in certain areas for me anyways.
