Team Salt Patrol fished Westport this past weekend.
We found fish north of the Grays Harbor about 20 miles out in a 180 ft of water. Using the Lowrance Structure Scan it was pretty easy to stay on the bait schools that were suspended in 90 ft of water where the fish were feeding. We caught kings fishing 90-120ft on the 'riggers and there were lots of 3-6lb coho in the top 30 ft.
We picked up a 25lb king here.
Sunday after the weather picked up and forced us back to the beach we got on to a good bite up the beach north of Ocean Shores in 45ft of water and landed several kings in the mid teens.
Hot setups were: Deep water Yakima Bait Fish Flash with a 6 ft of leader to a Silver Horde Kingfisher Lite spoon and up on the beach a diver with a small size Fish Flash attached directly too it with 5ft of 25lb Seaguar fluorocarbon leader to a pair of Mustad thin wire hooks in 5/0. Best fishing was just after the tide change.
