Quite the grind out there in Area 7 right now. Managed to finally get on a bite late yesterday and went 4-5 in about 30 minutes....had to pull chalks to meet the wife in Friday Harbor for dinner...ugh
Great dinner though. Had one monster take down that started peeling line off the reel at a pace that we were going to get spooled....we started backing down on the monster fish...after 30 seconds we finally saw what was on the other end of the line...it was a flipping porpoise...it spit the hook thank god so we could get the hot flasher back....dropped down again and had another take down....sweet...but something did not feel right...brought it up and hooked into a bird...crazy night...lots of laughs...and the weather was too sweet.
