Good eating ocean kings

Hard earned limits of nice kings on the Slammer this Monday. Took two of my nephews to Westport, Adam for his high school graduation present and Casey for his 24th birthday present. Fished with the crowd in the morning from the entrance to Grays Harbor south to Half Moon Bay. The sunbathing was better than the fishing with probably 5 or 6 kings boated by 2:30. The skipper says "pull em up" and we expect that our day is done. The skipper had other ideas. We ran about an hour north, dropped our herring in 50'-60' of water, and holy crap. We had a total blast for the next hour and a half. Nice, feisty, fat kings and lots of them. Many multiple hook-ups. A great day. Thanks to skipper Rhett of the Slammer for not giving up on us and for putting in a long day that really paid off.

I'm not joking. With the salmon forecast, ocean conditions and early indications of salmon up and down the coast... I'm stoked and heading for Grays Harbor!
