We made our first trip to the big C on Saturday. The weather was an incredible 60 degrees and super sunny. The fishing was not half bad either, we ended up with 2 in the box. Both fish came on a cutplug herring behind a red mini fish flash just below the I-5 bridge. All in all the fishing was not steller, it was just good enough to keep me interested. We saw approximately a dozen fish caught and noticed that the bite was scattered, deep, shallow, during the tide and full outgoing. It seems as though the fish are coming.....
This 30.5 lb monster springer was caught on March 23rd with a quickfish near Portland Intl. Airport. No more hints on the location. The measurements were 42 inches long with a 24 inch girth. This was day three of our fishing adventure and it blew our average weight of 22lbs, for the previous five fish caught, out of the water.
