Area 9 Blackmouth

Postby David » Fri Feb 10, 2012 7:11 pm

I had the chance to get out today, even if I had to go solo. Left Everett late morning and headed for the Tin Shed. No bait, no fish. Motored over to another nearby point and still wasn't seeing any bait (or fish). I was just turned around to make another pass and was lowering my rigger as I got to deeper water, and the line released. What the?????? Reel like crazy and there it was. After a nice time fighting the fish (not the flasher), with the net in one hand, rod in the other, I got this bad boy in the boat without knocking it off. It ran a bit over 10lbs. Two other shakers, and that was it. All caught on a cookies and cream tailwagger.

Nice job!
A mid-water dandy! You never know what you're gonna find and getting out there by yourself is rewarding too.
