Prince of Wales Sportfishing trip = Fantastic

Postby Fisherlady » Sun Jul 27, 2014 4:07 pm

Just got back from fishing a few days with Rob in Craig. We were able to fish outside the first two days with flat calm water. On these days we stopped at the Cape to try for big Kings. I was lucky enough to catch a 43.2 lb King on the first day, first stop, and first drop. Wow, that was an awesome experience. My arm was wrecked for the rest of the day. Then we moved out to the Rock Pile and pretty much finished catching our King and halibut limits there.
The second day had a couple fur bags tag teaming the fleet, pigging out on halibut and Kings. We lost a halibut and a King to them.
The last day turned choppy in the afternoon but it didn't affect the fishing. This last day we caught our limits of silvers and kings in one spot. Then we moved out and caught limits of halibut and yellow eye, plus huge black rock fish and 2 lings.
I always hate to leave Craig. What a great place to go fishing.
If you get a chance schedule a trip with Rob at Prince of Wales Sportfishing.

We added 5 more silvers to an already full fish box.

Thanks again to you and Ron for joining us for another fishing trip again this year Nancie. Very much appreciated!

You fought that big ol' king like an old pro ;)

The fish started showing up again closer to home so we're done running to that other place for the time being. Silvers and kings pushed in good the last couple of days thumbup

No...not that spot. It's the other one. You know the spot where those kings jumped on 9 days ago at 1:00 p.m. after the epic pink salmon frenzy. That spot...I think. It's hard to keep all the "spots" straight these days rofl
