Some Bass Fishing...

Postby Nick Berto » Mon May 19, 2014 1:19 pm

I had the pleasure of taking Robbie and Madden Tobeck fishing on Friday. It was a heck of a day and we caught tons of fish. Fish were in all phases of the spawn (pre, spawn, post) and all over the depth's and were biting pretty good, especially as the day went on. Water temps were reaching mid 60's by noon and had the fishing eating good!

We targeted fish with all sorts of techniques. Jerkbaits, shallow crankbaits, spinnerbaits, and drop shot were the top producers in 5-20' of water. Look for areas close to spawning flats and areas that hold heat (wood, concrete, rock, etc.) as well as good weed edges.

Good luck out there! The bass are on the bite!
