Slow Fishing so we Went Twilighting

Postby Robbo » Wed Dec 12, 2012 9:52 pm

Stam, flyfishing guru Gray Struznik, and I jumped in Bill Myers driftboat out in Forks today for our traditional early December beat down on hatchery steelhead. Bill said the fishing had been slow but us seasoned vets are always up for another day of shenanigans. We got on the river at the crack of 9:00 a.m. yawn

After Stam and I flogged the living crap out of this run Bill walks out and schwacks a steelhead on his fifth cast and he was off to the races outahere

After a long ankle-twisting sprint (more like a stumble) I finally netted his brat down in the tailout.

The only problem is that there weren't many steelhead around to beat down. We missed a couple more fish between belly laughing about gawd-only-knows-what and pulled off the river early to go grab a burger at Three Rivers. They have some sick burgers drool

We ran into the cast from Twilight and Stam got cozy with Edward. Not there's anything wrong with that :D

Stam and I figured we deserved today after the shellacking we've put on the steelhead out there with Bill the last couple of years. If ya want a good guide in the Forks area give Bill a call. You'll catch fish and he'll find a way to get ya laffin rofl
