Point No Point 7/30

Postby Nelly » Mon Jul 30, 2012 3:43 pm

My last fishing day in July was nothing to complain about!
We hooked four good fish, released a couple shakers and I'm sure the one we lost was the biggest of the day!

Walt Hylback, Tim Beard and Chris Beard share a "long-arm laugh" as they reach for the lens with their chinook!

With this week's tides, action should improve through next weeekend! thumbup

We're hitting that in the morning. Were the fish suspended or in the mud?

That's a toad Jerm!
We marked a few fish suspended and a whole bunch of bait.
Couldn't get anything to bite on hardware so we switched over to herring and it was game on! thumbup
When the current slowed down, the bait dissapeared and it was game off... thumbdown
Everything that bit was just off the bottom.
Good luck tomorrow 8-)

Thanks for the tips. We struck out today... guess I'm just too stubborn to think I wouldn't get 'em on my fave hardware so we had no herring, but lordy lordy did we mark fish and bait all morning from PNP into the depths of Skunk Bay... hmmm wonder how it got it's name.

The tailwaggers were my go to on Sunday. Just don't be afraid to try different types or color scemes of lures on a slow day. If ya can troll ur bait fast engough try that too.

I'm really liking the splatter cream series.

The purple one is my coho go too.

This is my big fish killer, besides I had to release the last visitor ;)

Good to see you yesterday Brandon. I didn't get the second one. How did you do?

That's a good boat dog you got there.

Ya you too man. We ended up scratchin out 3 nice ones after the tide changed. My dog is pretty chill on that boat. He could care less when a fish hits the deck.
