August in Admiralty Inlet is shaping up to be pretty solid, carrying on the momentum from a very productive July. With reports from Sekiu still smokin' and the recent resurgence of the San Juan Islands, I have high hopes for the final month of our chinook season!

My wife Kathy had to smile, hoisting this fine 15 pounder which inhaled a Luhr Jensen Coyote spoon fished on the bottom!

Matt Nelson has the full attention of Bailey (the "bad dog") who thinks -correctly, in fact- that these chinook are headed to the smoker and the smoked fish skins are headed for Bailey..

Nice fish Nelly, we only managed one at Mid-Channel. We ran down to PNP, and got shakers. Tight lines.
