Area 10 Blackmouth

As I was sitting in my boat sipping a hot java at Edmonds Marina I had a hard decision to make, where am I going to fish this morning? With mediocre reports trickling in from all over the Sound and area 9 not being an option I decited to give Richmond Beach a go, and what a good decision it was. Non stop action. Granted not every fish was a keeper all of them were big enough to jerk the line out of the clip . I can not believe how many just under and just over the limit fish I cought today, they absolutely tore up my new coho killer. Fishing just off the bottom in the 90-120 ft line towing a Red Racer flasher followed by a Yellow Tail coho killer. I dont really keep fish that are just legal, I would rather let them go and let us catch them when they put on a few pounds, but I did put about a 7 maybe 6 pounder in the box. Exciting to see all those big shakers. HAPPY ANGLING

Thanks for the report. I'm going to try Richmond beach from my kayak the weekend of the 29th - the last weekend. Any tips? Thanks

I am not a kayak angler so unfortunateally I dont have many tips on the techniques used from a kayak. If it was me I would for sure be using Pt.wilson darts in the white and pink color. What i can tell u is the action was between the beach and the first point to the south in the depths mentioned in my report. Best of luck to u. thumbup
