Salmon Bank

The reports from the San Juans have been solid for nearly the entire winter season so it came as no surprise that Salmon Bank and the western side of the Islands caught fire as of late.
After watching the winds over the last few days there was finally a flat forecast for Friday so we decided to give the south end of the big island a go.
Since we just had the morning to fish we were fortunate to get a dandy 12 pounder on the first pass. A few shakers made an appearance and once the ebb tide started rolling we got in to another good fish that pulled the scales down to the 14lb mark. All in all a rare, sunny flat spring day on Salmon Bank. The last week of the season should be interesting!!!
