Westport was a blow out this past Saturday 10ft seas and wind to 25MPH but the storm blew though and the fleet hit the water on Sunday and king fishing was on!
Jerry Henderson, Dave Johnson and I limited out with 3 nice fish in about 3 hours. The fish are still about 12 miles west of the harbor mouth. Our best action came on a Fish Flash with either a Silver Horde Kingfisher spoon or herring.
Herring was brined green in Pro-Cure Bait-N Brine. Top depth for us was 100ft on the Scotty's but some boats were getting them deeper. My buddy Mark Abetz fishing next to us boated a 32lb king, it was his 18 year old son Jacob's biggest fish to date,
Capt John
Dave Johnson of Kitsap Marina with a beautiful Westport chinook taken aboard the Salt Patrol Lowance boat.
Jason Abetz 32 pound white chinook which is the biggest king he has ever caught!
