Marine Area 6 Blackmouth

I just can't seen to get the Olympic Peninsula Salmon Derby out of my mind!

I have to admit a bit of a love affair with the east Strait and combine that with a rare trip out with my wife Kathy and a flat, calm Sunday morning? How can you possibly lose?

The first pass resulted in the first fish on and Kathy does battle with the feisty chinook!

Kathy's first fishing trip of the year resulted in two punches on her card and a filet headed to the BBQ! If you look over her left shoulder you'll see we're being watched... spy

We attract a few "waterdogs" while cleaning fish and my black lab Bailey keeps a sharp eye out on the furbags!

With this weather, don't let a little run in the boat stand between you and a few chinook! cheers

There your lab. Been wondering how it was doing. Hasn't seen it since your show.

We saw you out there today Nelly. What a beautiful day, especially once the fog burnt off! We were fishing next to Derek when you ran by him to say hello. We put 4 beauties in the boat between 12:30pm and 2pm, released a couple smaller ones, and missed several others. Also released about a 25 lb. hali. Can't wait to do it again!
