This was not that uncommon of a thing to happen before the bottom draggers raped Puget Sound, (with the all mighty blessing of the WDFW no less).

I grew up near Rich Passage in the late 60's and early 70's and when the tides were right we could normally scrounge up lings near that size range almost every year, just like being able to catch unlimited 5-7 pound True Cod anywhere near Agate Pass, very annoying at the time.

Such memories.

Thanks for posting that RR!
It just shows you the type of habitat we have in Puget Sound and what a potential tourism "cash cow" we could have if the State decided to invest in honest to goodness fisheries enhancement!

Sweet Pic! Anybody else think true cod might be comin back a little? I musta hooked 5-6 around jeff head and 1 up towards No Point this year.

I've seen both true cod and hake in the past year!
It's a very healthy sign!
