I have a buddy that purchased a boat and is mooring it at a friends house on the lake. He wants me to take him fishing and I haven't fished Lake Washington since the 80's when you could keep 6 sockeye. Thoughts on hitting the lake.......

Depends what your setup for. Cutthroat- troll trout gear (mini hootchies/ wedding ring etc). Pop gear, small dodger/flasher. From what i know of the south end of Mercer Island to down around the boeing plant and the mouth of the Cedar river 15'-45'. I put split shot on my mainline to get a little deeper if you dont have downriggers.
They have plenty of Smallmouth but its still a little too cold to be real good fishing yet. But drop shot or football jigs in deeper water 25' or more. Thats all Im familiar with on the lake.
