Crab bait rules

Are you allowed to use fresh water trout and kokanee as crab bait? I thought I saw a rule at some point saying you can't use bait foreign to the body of water, but after digging into the rules pamphlet again, I don't see it. Then I figured folks use turkey and chicken legs etc.. so I figured I would ask because I am confused.
