Puget Sound Salmon Charters

I have my Father coming up to Seattle the 3rd week of Sept and I'm looking for a location and a charter referral within a days drive of the Seattle area. Dad is 75 years old and wants to catch some salmon before he is too old to get on a boat. He is an experienced fisherman, but only gets out once or twice a year these days. I have only been in the Seattle area for 3 years and have not been salmon fishing since moving here. Any help out there?

Nick Kester and Gary Krein at All Star Charters are great and you might also consider driving up to the San Juans and fishing with Jay Field of Dash One Charters. All three are good options. Best of let us know how you do 8-)

Thanks Robo! I will put them at the top of the list to call. My Father and I were fortunate enough to have spent a week at the April Pont Lodge back in the late 70s when the daily limit was 3 fish. We limited out all 5 days we fished with each of us catching 1 King over 30 lbs. One of those trips that can never be replicated. We had canned salmon 3x/week for 5 years after that!
