Nelly, thought I heard you guys talking about a Diawa downrigger rod some time ago, but cant seem to find it, or see anything on the forum about it, I'm basically going to pick up a couple extra rods / reels for the boat, to have as spares, or for guests. Recommendation's from anyone welcome, try not to break the bank, thanks

We picked up 8 Diawa rods from Sportco this last winter for guests to borrow. They feel like a fairly good rod and the price was right, if one gets broken we won't have big tears. The guys down at Sportco were great to work with, we enjoyed our afternoon there picking up supplies.

Hey Pat,
I'm running the Daiwa DXS 1062 and it's a great rod that's not expensive at all!
There's a pile of them at Sportco in Fife, Outdoor Emporium in Seattle and Johns Sporting Goods in Everett.
I'm going to be at OE later today and will double check.
In the meantime, go to: http://www.daiwa.com/rod/detail.aspx?id=649

Hey Nelly. I'm tired of buying expensive rods and am thinking about giving the DXS a chance. Which DXSD1062 rod do you like to run in the Puget Sound? Medium or Heavy? What's the DXS1062MRB-G all about? Thanks dude! 8-)

Hey Homie,
I'll NEVER spend big money on a rod again! It's just not necessary and I would rather put that money into reels or electronics.

To your question, I'll run Daiwa 1062 M's in the winter and 1062 H's in the summer and down at Buoy 10 on the lower Columbia.

Great feel, excellent quality, but the real deal: I've been running them for over three years now and have NEVER BROKEN A SINGLE ONE!!! rockon

The Daiwa DXS is a $100 price point rod and if you do a little shopping... spy

100% Lamiglass with the Woodland WA stamp on the rod.
