Hey G, I would say that successful crabbing right now has as much to do with bait as it does depths.
Use a combination of salmon carcasses and turkey legs soaked from 80-120 feet and soak those pots over a high tide change.
Coho? Stay tuned spy

well it did not matter anyways as the motor decided NOT to cooperate with us - Had to do a complete fuel system purge/clean and oiling system purge finally found some red flecks in the filters (gas-20 micron separate from motor filter-65 micron)- looks suspiciously like tank plastic although i did not find any holes in the screen on the bottom of the pickup tube (OMC Plastic tanks new at time of motor purchase). We finally got it to running right about 1030 in the river and took a nice long ride up the river- what ever was left on the original tank (6 gallon)-would spit and sputter once in a while figured it was water in the fuel- because the tanks were drained and dried (stored all winter open in the garage) out and rinsed with wd 40 prior to filling. No problems with 2nd tank we hooked into while on the river.
Had stuff throughout the filter system (looks like black sand and finally found out it was the hoses going bad because of the ethanol) and up at the carb filter so it was a real cluster-

maybe next weekend I hope
