San Juan Sand Dabs

Hey, I wanted to try this live sand dab drill for lings this year up in the 'juans. From what I gather look for a sandy flat from 80-120' and fish either a sabiki rig or a #2 hook with either squid, berkekly gulp or herring chunks. That's where the dabs live.

Does this sound about right? I'm not sure if sand dab spots are squirrel secret status, but if anyone knew of some good dabbin spots around the north end of orcas it would be greatly appreciated.

LING ON!!

I bet. I know I've had a few of those eaten my monsters of the deep in the past. I was just thinking the smaller dabs might do better at catching legal sizers.

There's a big sandy flat just outside of the ditch on the north side or Orcas that might could have some sole on it. The underwater spit between there and Parker Reef might be a good bet too.
