Edmonds Coho Derby Changes for the better! Sept 7!

Breaking news for the Edmonds Coho Derby on September 7! Changes made!
We had a meeting and talked with some of our members and board to discuss our derbies. Many of us do not attend the awards ceremony of many derbies because of the long wait between weigh in and the start of the ceremony. So we sat down and stormed out how to change this.
Changes made: Start the ceremony at 3:30 instead of 4:00pm.
This means that in Everett that you will have to have your fish weighed in quickly to get to Edmonds by 3:30 for the ceremony. We will do much of the thanks and ceremony details before 3:30. To make sure the weigh in gets done quickly after 2:00 in Edmonds, we are adding a third scale. (Everett weigh in is usually 2:10 to 2:15 at the latest with our new digital scales.
Our goal is to try and get the ceremony done by 4:30 so people can go home and unwind. For us it means we have to tear down, load our boats and be at Everett for our PSA Sno-King and Everett Salmon and Steelhead joint Wounded Warriors fishing event.
I hope this makes everyone happy and remember there is no other club like PSA Sno-King.!
PSA Sno-King puts its money where its mouth is. One of our officers is on the board of directors for Fish NW where we hire a lobbyist to keep our fisheries open and expanded. We have changed our fisheries for the better!
PSA Sno-King:
Stopped/overturned Neah Bay marine fishing closures/creating MPAs-TWICE!
Majorly responsible for new PS Crab Policy-More crab for recreationals
Majorly responsible for Ne PS Shrimp Policy-More shrimp for recreationals
Helps fund Willows Creek Hatchery where some of our Coho Salmon are reared to catch for our recreationals
Major Contributor for the Everett Central Lions Club Derby for the Blind
Puts on our own Wounded Warriors event to give thanks back to our veterans.
Donates to feeding the hungry/food drive.
This plus much much more. We do all for others and nothing for ourselves. Please support our derby. Our successes depend on it.
