how big,how much

Looking to buy anchor for use on a 21 ft. Trophy for Admirilty inlet area for the Halibut drill.How heavy of anchor,how much and what size chain,is 300 ft. of rope enough? :?:

I would say that 300ft of line will work just fine on a calm day with little tide. I would lean twards somthing more like 500ft with 20ft of 5/16 chain and a 15ish pound Bruce type anchor that will keep you stuck nice in Butt zone around here.

I can't argue with Jadeo's advice... 300' plus a minimum of half your boat's length in galvenized 3/8" Proof Coil chain should work fine.
A 12 lb Danforth anchor will work fine but a Bruce or CQR plow anchor would be better...and a little heavier on your wallet as well.

Finally, get an anchor float system to pull your anchor.
