Fish Finder

I'm in the market for a combo gps/fish finder. I'm debating between the Lowrance Elite-5 DSI and the Humminbird 597 CI HD DI. I am hoping to get some input from the experts on here to help me pick the right one for me. I fish the lakes for bass, trout and cutthroat and also hit the sound when conditions are right.
Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Thanks
Ted

Hey TM,
You really can't make a bad decision here.
Lowrance and Humminbird both have opened up the entire AirMar transducer catalog allowing you to make versatile and very effective transducer choices.
Both units have their strong points. Humminbird menus are pretty straightforward but Lowrance software is Windows driven so it's a but more intuitive for PC users.
With the networking possibilities that exists with Lowrance products, such as Sirius satellite weather and music all handled by your head unit, it's hard to go anywhere else.
Good luck with your new unit!
