Lowrance mapping

Postby Duckhunter » Sat Mar 04, 2017 4:44 pm

I just bought a Lowrance Elite 9 ti in my hurry to buy i didnt realize there was a pro version. Should i return it and get the pro version, or is there a mapping chip you would recommend that would make it as good or better than the pro version? I want saltwater and lakes. I am replacing a gen 2 HDS 5 nautic insight which the mapping worked well in the salt. If I buy a chip does it download to the unit or does the SD card have to be in it all the time?

I would get on line to determine what the feature package difference is between the "Pro" and the model you have now.
Keep in mind that the differences in catrography are largely chip driven and once you get in toe CHART menu you can choose COMMUNITY EDITS and FISH N' CHIP to increase your desired level of chart detail. thumbup
