Headed off to the Busby Hunt Club on Wednesday morning. Got unpacked and headed down to the fishing pond. Caught 2 dandy rainbows on my fly rod. Got a good night sleep for the dove opener the next morning. Headed out on the ranger to the dove hole at about 7am. On the way to the dove spot, saw 4 bucks and a few doves. I was able to harvest my first 2 doves. Dad got his limit of doves but my 6 pound rainbow was much bigger than his biggest fish! A great couple days at the club. Can't wait for the mule deer opener. Lots of bucks in the area.

There were more doves last year.

You're not alone. When I was your age I averaged about a dove per box of shells. Nowadays I'm much better...about two doves per box :D
