We just got back from the Outdoor Line Nootka trip and it was just a great time with great people and outstanding fishing!

Lee Andersen got the biggest chinook of the trip when this 27 pounder grabbed a large spoon on the off shore "highway"

Halibut fishing...in August??? This crew from Crabby's Charters didn't have much trouble getting this load on board!

When we got back to the lodge for the evening, a gourmet meal was waiting and our private rooms were steps away,

All in all, a great trip that we hope to make an annual event!

Wow, look at those calm inner waters. Do you have a picture of the floating lodge also? Share more info Nelly.

Hey Nelly,
I'm curious to know if you fished the "when in Rome" knuckle busters up there, or did you have your regular gear?

Hey Cut Plug, check out my new blog http://blog.theoutdoorline.com/post/2011/08/30/Nailing-Down-Nootka!.aspx
or the report that Ron and Nancy put up from their trip for more pics. The place is incredible!

I did have my regular gear but I also ran a pair of Islanders to keep the Canadian heckling to a minimum...
