Steelhead

I have booked a trip to the great northwest, and cannot change plans, but my guide just told me there are no steelhead in the Quinault, and that there won't be when I get there (Aug. 28). My sole purpose for coming out is to fish the same river for the same fish my father did 60 years ago. Any suggestions?
