Pink Question

I'm hearing reports of the pinks in large numbers on the upper Snohomish. How in the heck did they get there so quick anb why weren't there more reports of catchs in between?

I've been a day late and a dollar short since I moved to the NW. I started trying to catch the pinks in 07 and seem to miss them every time so in 2011 I was excited to here that they would be coming down in large numbers. My plan was to catch them in the salt. When I wasn't fishing (which unfortunatly wasn't enough) I was monitoring the fishing reports. The first metion of the pinks was down south and now clear up the Snohomish. What the heck? Somebody please help me understand how they got through the sound so fast and unnoticed.

Don't worry buddy... that was just the initial push of fish. This is just the start. There is a lot of pinks mucking around out in the Sound and a friend of mine is fishing the Snoho today with his daughter and he reports many fish around. Good luck!

We fished the upper Snoho yesterday and did okay: 1 out of 2 limits. I'm just curious about the travel patterns of these fish.
