250 Pound Halibut Released!

We've been hitting some huge hali's offshore here lately in SE Alaska. We released one around 100 pounds on my boat yesterday that snapped the rod (operator error) and Rick Perez from Yakima caught and released this barny today about Capt. Slims boat that he estimated at around 250 pounds. Amazingly...Kim got his jig back. Like he wasn't going to get his jig back :lol:

Nice halibut! Good job on the release!
I just have one question: In the last picture, what's with the skinny tiller handle on that 250 Dramaha? :lol:

We run tillers on the big engines here Nelly so we can stand out in the rain on the run out in the morning!
