King salmon fishing has been lights out here in Las Craigas, AK. Here's magicians John Walton and Doug Bennett with their first king salmon ever.

A 51" ling...just 4 inches short of joining it's friends in the blue box. This one can keep pumping out eggs for another year

"Seriously Rob! This halibut fishing thing you guys do is just awesome. Can we do this all day tomorrow?"

Glad to hear and see how great it is up there this year!
Last season, we were hampered up and down the coast by an ocean that was stirred up all summer long!
Continued flat water and fast fishing to you my friend!

I've sure heard of some nice fish coming out of your neck of the woods...
The size of the fish in Craig is surprising to me.
Up in Sitka, we did not crack the 30lb mark! Good job and continued good luck to you!

The Man in Blue jumped on board the boat just after Sally Kvam hooked into this 35 pound Chinook today. Gamey's a good egg...at least that's been my experience and I haven't heard anything otherwise. He declined getting his picture taken with the king salmon though

And no Blake...that wasn't the Tip...though I've been known to frequent that place quite a bit this year. Nice kinger hitting your dock today...good work boys

We talk to ADF&G virtually every time we hit the dock.
Generally good folks, professional and fairly knowledgable when you have a question.

Love the reports, need the reports...
I
was going to fish Westport on Saturday, a bachelor party in Seattle on Friday night, then the long haul to Westport for a 5:00am launch was cut short by a blown water pump on my truck, a 250.00 dollar tow bill is a poor substitute for a fishing trip.... my buddies had one of "those days" to add some salt to the wound, somewhere around 40 fish to the boat...the only thing that stopped them was running out of bait. Took the Grandlings to the Buckley Log Show Parade as a consolation prize.......probably had more fun than a fishing trip in the end.
