Austin Moser from Austin's NW Adventures http://www.austinsnorthwestadventuresllc.com has been tearing up the Kokanee on Lake Roosevelt the last couple of weeks. They've had Koke's over 23 inches and there's plenty of speculation that the next state record Kokanee will come out of Roosevelt. With the yearly drawdown of the lake in full swing the Kokanee fishing on FDR will only get better ;)

Listen to Austin's February 11th podcast on the Outdoor Line to get a handle on tackling this great Kokanee fishery in Eastern Washington thumbup

Unfortunately shortly after this post was published, the river became very muddy, with visibility only a couple feet. Even Austin (and other guides) and his customers were having significant issues finding the kokanee. Rainbow fishing stayed good for a while, then the river became littered with debris. As of the post, the fishing still hasn't recovered.
