Salt Patrol's Sunday on the Straits!

Salt Patrol fished winter blackmouth aboard the Evinrude powered Lowrance Pro Staff Flagship this past Sunday. Cold day 22 degrees to start out but no wind and calm seas. Ran over to Marine Area 6 and fished near Discovery Bay.
Caught several nice salmon to 10 pounds trolling downriggers in 130ft of water. Top producing setups were Pro-Troll 11inch flashers with either a Silver Horde 3" Kingfisher in Herring Ade pattern or a needle fish Gold Star hoochie with 4/0 Mustad Hooks. A good coating of Pro-Cure Bloody Tuna Jell Scent work quite well. The Salmon were right on the bottom.
Capt. John Keizer with his first chinook of 2017 taken just off of Discovery Bay in east MA6.
"Uncle" Jerry may not have got the first fish of the year aboard Salt Patrol but he's got the biggest..so far...
