Reports were sporadic from all over Admiralty Inlet as catches were all over the board.
We started at Pt. No Point and early on it was slow so it was time to fire up the Evinrudes and head for Midchannel Bank!
Our first drag across the bank was good for Kathy's first chinook of the season!

All of our strikes came on Luhr Jensen Coyote Flashers with small Silver Horde spoons

We let a couple nice wild ones go and lost a few but did end up with these three which ain't a bad morning!

We're going to be back out there in the morning and I hope to see you out there!

We started off at PNP as well, and also decided to relocate, and shifted our efforts to Possession. Ended up having a respectable day.
Work is keeping me off the water this morning, but I'll be joining the crowds out there tomorrow.

We hit West Bar till about10 on the opener, lost a really nice one to a Sea Lion after a 30 minute wasted battle to get my gear back, got a 6# Coho (a good sign), then went to fish PNP till the tide change then around the corner to Pilot for the incoming. Pilot was totally dead, no marks, no nuthin, just a lot of boats. Did hit this bad boy of 20lbs or so at PNP (actually in Skunk Bay) on Red Racer and Purple haze hootchie at 77ft around 11. Today stayed on West Pobar all day and nothing but Pinks and Doggies. Tomorrow… hmmm maybe the crotch (PSA members did well there both days) As you can plainly see, my arms are NOT extended in the fishermans hold.
Oh well... everytime I try to post a photo here it gives me this message, "The file is too big, maximum allowed size is 256 KiB." Not sure how to deal with it but trust me, it was all of 20lbs.

Nice work Patrick and I believe you Kurt!
Try right clicking on your pic on your laptop and choose "resize pictures" or "make my pictures smaller" then choose the smallest size and they should post up just fine! Here is a "demonstration:"
Pete Smith, Eric Jorgenson and "Mr Pain" of Roy Robinson Chevrolet with a nice king each!

On the way back in we picked the crab pots and were far from dissapointed! Every Friday afternoon in Puget Sound should look like this!

Fished the West side of the Tin shed for the first time today and hit 3 nice fish around 15 or so (partner broke one off about 20 feet from the boat). So many boats there it was difficult to work the bar properly and had to take many unwanted turns as the tide started ripping. Been out every day since the opener and forgot it was Sat so missed your show and would have given you an on water report. Saw you show up around 10:30, fish for a 1/2 hour or so then head for parts west. Lots of fish being caught, wonder how much longer we have?

KURT POSTED A PIC!!!That's dedication working on posting pictures until 10:30 on a Saturday night!
Email me your address! I'm sending you an Outdoor Line T-Shirt for your efforts!
After I got off the air yesterday we took a swing through Possession and there wasn't much room so we swung over to Point No Point and started marking suspended chinook. I dropped a Tomic 602 down to the 100 foot mark and put a flasher spoon on the bottom...
....and BINGO!!! The McGrath family of Wayne Sharp Construction suddenly had a plan for dinner!

Thanks Tom, appreciate the shirt, dang was it that late. Just finished day four of our marathon today and other than a batcho crab, the natives moved in on us. We released 4 really nice nates maybe 15 to 18 and had a guy 100 yds away have his fish fly over to my boat, get caught on my downrigger which I brought up thinking I had a doggie. As the ball got to the surface there was a nice fish thrashing but by the time we got to the net and tried to get the DR next to the boat to net him, bang gone. Soooo a hot day on the water but no fish pics. But I think I'm gettin the hang of this pic thing, these after 1pull on a 2 hour soak

I love to get out first thing in the morning but on a warm weekend there were a few beverages on Saturday night
so we slept in on Sunday morning and hit the Port of Everett at the crack of 10am!
We started marking fish right away and so I moved the gear up in the water column where they were marking and...Oh yeah!
This was a very hard fighting fish, taking several runs and soaking under the boat but Kathy did a great job with the rod and I finally slid the net under him!

We're about halfway through the quota so here's hoping we get one more weekend
