Columbia River Springers!

I just had to get down to the Columbia for the "last" day (pending a run update...more on that later) of springer fishing on the main stem Columbia and we were not disappointed!

My long-suffering wife Kathy did not have to wait long for her first spring chinook as she stuck one on the first drag and had our two fish limit by 10am

I was feeling pretty good about our success when my old buddy and Columbia River Ace guide Eric Linde came in with a boat limit of five springers!!!

There's a chance that the run update on Tuesday 4/21/15 could allow for another opener and if there is one.... outahere

Yeah K,
We fished the 1-5 stretch, launching at Portco/Marine Park above the I-5 bridge and trolling cut-plug herring down to I-5 and the railroad bridge below.
If they open it back up.....I'll be headed down that way again fast! spy outahere
