...you don't have to go home, but you can't fish here...

Well, after Wednesday April 15th that is...

For those who have stayed with it out in the Sound, the late winter/early spring action has been very solid. There's even been the occasional fish in the upper teens!

Last year the best late winter action was Midchannel Bank and Marrowstone Island.
This year, Point No Point, Double Bluff and Possession Bar have been the best bets.

My better half Kathy with a very nice chinook taken on April 9th and the only bad thing about this day was that we lost a better one to a harbor seal 50cal

Most of the fish taken lately aboard Great White the Weldcraft have been very well fed with a mix of candlefish and herring. To take advantage of that fact, Coho Killers behind Luhr Jensen Coyote Flashers and whole herring have been the exclusive terminal tackle lately shhh

Lifelong Puget Sound angler Bud Meyers with his Sunday morning limit of chunky chinook. An old salt like Bud knows how to "long arm" a couple blackmouth for the camera ;)

Here's hoping you get a chance to get out before the lights go out on the evening of April 15th! cheers
