Well anyone who was on the water or seen it from shore would know it was windy!! Started out of the cove trolling south in about 100ft marking lots of bait. Got the first rod down while the wife was driving and "pouting" was running green flasher with whole red label herring in a red helmet, and I injected with herring sent. I use a turkey injector right up the herrings butt until it is plumped up a little so it leaves a nice long scent trail.
Just when I was starting to get the other rod set up..... FISH ON. Pit up a good fight but was a INCH short. After that it seemed to get rougher and rougher. Had to call it a day about 45 min later. Was a lot if bait in the area.
My other rod was same flasher and a hoochie with herring strip on lead hook. On the way home I said screw it and pulled in gig harbor and went to try some more. Not as much chop there but was not marking much bait. Seems to take away from the fun when I have to drive the boat and keep both rods in the game. Anyone else make it out?
Thanks guys
