Team Salt Patrol fished Westport this past Saturday with Tony Dobson. We caught and released 7 kings to 17 pounds. We were fishing straight out from Westport in 160ft of water.

Most of the kings came on a Yakima Bait Fish Flash 6ft 25lb Seaguar fluorocarbon leader with a brined herring on 5/0 Mustad thin wire hooks. We also caught a caught a couple on a 11 Inch Luhr Jensen Coyote Flasher with 48 inches of 50lb Seaguar leader to a Silver Horde Irish Flag Kingfisher Lite spoon.

Locating schools of bait with actively feeding fish on the Lowrance Structure Scan was key to scoring on these fish.
Best downrigger depth was 30-55 ft trolling at 3MPH.
