Fishing Report from Los Suenos Costa Rica
Posted: Tue Jun 18, 2013 9:43 amGreat opening to the month of June fishing out of Los Suenos World Class Marina, with Captain Walton and first mate Christian aboard the Sunny1.
June 7th-
20 miles out from the Los Suenos Marina Sunny1 found the bite. Raising 2 marlin, and releasing 2, both ranging from 200 to 260pds, all before 11:00am. In the afternoon the bite still hot switches over and they real in on a 20 pound test a 80pnd Dorado, followed by 2 good sized Yellow Fin Tuna.
June 8th-
Just under 20 miles out the Sunny1 reaches the fishing grounds where they run into a large pod of Spinner Dolphins. The Tuna bite was thick, and before long they had reeled in 4 large Yellow Fin Tuna. In the late afternoon the excitement hit when they hooked a Sailfish, followed by 2 big Blue Marlin.
June 10th-
Sunny1 attempts some fly fishing in the early morning, and switches over to conventional to catch 2 big Yellow Fin Tuna. Not a bad start for the month of June here in Los Suenos.
