Our annual Sitka sojourn is off to a solid start. We're not seeing huge numbers of chinook just yet but, heck... we're just getting started!

After being polite by letting my friend catch the first one, I was rewarded with a bigger fish!


Wayne Johnson experienced Alaska for the very first time this year and is now the newest member of the Tyee Club with this fine 31 pounder!


With some heavy weather coming in -thanks to that high pressure system over western Washington- the next few days will be a challenge but we're going to do our best!!!

Nice fish! North or South of the island? (if you don't mind me asking)

Yup! It comes up on its trailer. It's too far to run it up

Good friend Dave Heiser is next on the Sitka guest list and has enjoyed some serious action!

They may come bigger but they sure don't come brighter than this chromer!
